A French story
After his trip to the United States, Fred Lip returns to Europe persuaded the future of the electric watch. The prototype of the first electric bracelet watch in the world was presented in 1952 at the Paris Academy of Sciences. The Watch of the Revolutionary R27 movement will be marketed in 1958. Fred Lip is proud to offer this watch to General de Gaulle and General Eisenhower. This GDG model is the result of ten years of research realized with efficiency and passion to develop the first electric watch that will open the way to quartz watches.
