The history of Michel Herbelin watches began in 1947, in Charquemont, in the French-Swiss Jura. Thus, for over 60 years, this traditional French watchmaking company has kept its independence generation handed down from generation. NEWPORT SKELETON AUTOMATIC

 

For this limited edition watch Michel Herbelin opens in preview, a new class Swiss bill: the Sellita SW400-1. Same as SW200-1 for accuracy, reliability and robustness, it nevertheless has an enlarged diameter 31 mm more suited to large casings (40 to 46 mm). This eliminates the need for a casing ring (not always gracious) while allowing a wide open bottom. For the rest, automatic mechanical movement, has a standard power reserve of 38 hours.

Inspired by modern architecture stealth ships, Newport Skeleton features a stainless steel case, gray PVD treated anthracite with a diameter of 42 mm. Polished and brushed to emphasize its divided into three facets, it borders a conical shaped crown, timing for a better grip. Matching the case, bezel engraved with the name of the collection reveals, meanwhile, five socket head screws, identical to the sailboat winch cores.

Taking in all modernity, codes that have made the success of the Newport - Central strap fasteners, bezel so porthole marine wheel stamped on the crown - this new timepiece remains faithful to its marine vocation. Completing the set, the hour and minute hands in black nickel, created specifically for Michel Herbelin, time rhythm to the beat of a second plant. Partly covered with luminescent material, like towering indexes positioned on the flange brushed blue circled a timer, it gives a reading of precise time and readable in all circumstances.

Resistant to 100 meters and thought to be brought in action, Newport Skeleton is wearing a rubber strap FKM extremely tear strength. Carefully worked in its finishing to be comfortable to the wrist, it was specifically designed to extend the line of the center tie up the loop. Featuring smooth and shiny appearance of blue, he completed to perfect the style sporty chic of this timepiece design racy.

This last product in just 500 copies around the world, has a gray PVD steel case of 42 millimeters in diameter. The 316L steel which constitutes this watch has interesting properties, both at the level of the sustainability but also comfort, because it is a hypoallergenic material. The anthracite gray with brushed finish appearing on this housing, is also found at the conical crown, laid at 3 hours and adorned with a marine wheel. The dial is overlooked by a precious sapphire glass. On the back, this elegant model has a transparent box bottom maintained by 10 ATM sealing screws and offering a glimpse of the wonderful clock, chiseled Côtes de Geneva.
